For one of the largest Nordic banks with more than 30’000 employees in Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway Zalaris has implemented a comprehensive pan-Nordic multi-process outsourcing solution for transactional HR and payroll services based on our smartHR powered by SAP HCM template including functionality for:

  • Employee Data management
  • Payroll
  • Time and Attendance
  • Travel and expenses
  • Employee Contact Center

As a part of the outsourcing agreement, 40+ staff located in the various Nordic countries have been transferred from the client to Zalaris under the rules of Transfer of Undertakings.  These were integrated as new colleagues in our local language service centers located in Helsinki, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Oslo.

The transformation project lasted 18 months and consolidated four local legacy payroll solutions and numerous auxiliary input solutions for time and attendance and travel expenses into one best practice pan-Nordic SAP HCM based solution with Employee and Manager Self Service (ESS/MSS) scenarios for all outsourced processes.  Integration to the client’s SAP based global HR system was handled via standard SAP ALE interfaces.

The transformed solution enabled the client to harmonize the outsourced processes across their Nordic operations and to manage teams independent of geographic location.  In addition, HR and payroll data previously located in four different systems was made available across the Group, thus giving the client standardized reporting of compensation, FTE levels, and sick leave across their business units independent of country.  This supported the client in their vision of becoming an integrated Nordic bank.

Through outsourcing to Zalaris, compared to the traditional internal implementation approach, the client was able to reduce implementation time and cost.   At the same time, the quality of service was increased whilst the overall cost levels were reduced to variable costs.

Insurance

A leading Nordic insurance company with more than 3’700 employees in Sweden and Denmark has implemented a comprehensive pan-Nordic multi-process outsourcing solution based on the Zalaris smartHR SAP HCM template.  The following functionality is provided under the agreement:

  • Time and Attendance
  • Travel and expenses
  • Employee Contact Center

Eight client employees working with in-scope functions were transferred under the Transfer of Rights directive to Zalaris.  

During a twelve month transformation project our smartHR based solution was implemented. Two legacy payroll solutions and numerous auxiliary input solutions for time and attendance were consolidated into a common SAP HCM based solution covering both Denmark and Sweden.  Employee and Manager Self Service (ESS/MSS) scenarios for all outsourced processes were also implemented.
